Privacy Policy for De La Terre

Effective date: 10/12/2025
Last updated: 08/27/2026

De La Terre (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, forms, email and SMS communications, social media pages, and any services that link to this Policy.

If you have questions or want to exercise your rights, contact us by filling out our contact form.

1. Information we collect

You provide it

  • Inquiry and booking details: names, contact info, event dates, venue, budget, style preferences, guest count.
  • Communications: emails, SMS, DMs, and any attachments you send (mood boards, inspiration photos).
  • Payment info: this site has no checkout and never asks for card details. If you pay an invoice we send you, the payment provider handles the card data directly and we do not store it.
  • Contests and promotions: entries and responses.

We collect it automatically

  • Server logs: like every website, our host records the requests it serves — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These are kept by the host for security and troubleshooting; we do not use them to build a profile of you.
  • Site measurement: cookieless analytics recording page views, the referring site or search, country and device type. No cookies are set. See Cookies below.

We get it from others

  • Vendors and partners: payment processors, scheduling tools, form tools, and ad platforms may send us limited data to help fulfill requests or measure campaigns.
  • Social media platforms: if you interact with our pages or ads.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide services you request such as proposals, quotes, contracts, and event fulfillment.
  • To communicate about inquiries, orders, schedules, and updates.
  • To personalize proposals and recommendations.
  • To process payments and prevent fraud.
  • To operate, secure, and improve our website and business.
  • To run marketing with your consent or as allowed by law. You can opt out anytime.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK only)

If you are in the EEA or UK, we process your data based on one or more of these bases: consent, contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligation, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the business such as hosting, email and SMS services, payment processing, scheduling, proposal and contract software, survey tools, analytics, and advertising platforms. They may only use your data to provide their services to us.
  • Event partners when needed to fulfill your order such as venues or rental companies, and only with your knowledge or direction.
  • Legal and safety reasons such as complying with law, responding to lawful requests, or protecting rights and safety.
  • Business transfers such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use cookies. We do not set them, and no advertising or cross-site tracking runs on this site.

We do measure how the site is used, through Vercel Web Analytics. It counts page views and records which site or search a visit came from, the country, and the general device type. It does this without cookies and without collecting or storing anything that identifies you personally, and the data is not shared with advertising networks. Because nothing is stored on your device, there is no cookie banner and nothing to opt out of.

If you would still rather not be counted, any browser extension or built-in tracking protection that blocks analytics scripts will exclude you.

Do Not Track: we do not respond to DNT signals at this time.

6. Your choices

  • Email marketing: click Unsubscribe in any marketing email.
  • SMS: reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Cookies: this site sets none, so there is nothing to change. Your browser settings control cookies on any other site.
  • Access, correction, deletion: see Your privacy rights below.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your information.
  • Limit or object to certain processing.
  • Port your information.
  • Withdraw consent at any time if we rely on consent.
  • Appeal our decision if we decline your request (where applicable).

To make a request, email privacy@delaterre.com with your name, how you interacted with us, and what you are requesting. We will verify your identity before acting. You may use an authorized agent where allowed by law.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia notices

Residents of these states have additional rights under their privacy laws. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. The analytics on this site are cookieless and are not shared with advertising networks, so there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. If you would still like to make a request about your information, email privacy@delaterre.com and we will respond.

We do not knowingly process Sensitive Personal Information beyond what is necessary to provide services you request.

EEA/UK residents

You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our primary contact is listed at the top of this Policy.

8. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by category such as proposals, contracts, invoices, and tax records.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please contact us right away if you suspect unauthorized use of your information.

10. Children’s privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Payments

This website does not accept payments. There is no checkout, cart or card form anywhere on this site. Deposits and invoices are handled separately, after we have spoken with you. If we send you an invoice through a payment provider, that provider collects and processes your card details directly — we never see or store full card numbers — and their privacy policy covers that transaction.

12. International transfers

If you are outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries that may have different data protection laws. We use appropriate safeguards where required.

13. Third-party links

Our website may link to other sites or services. Their privacy practices are their own. Review their policies before providing information.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version with a new “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be highlighted on our site or sent by email when appropriate.
