Belvedere Estate & Gardens feels like stepping into a European countryside storybook, right here in Saugatuck!! Built in 1912, this historic estate is all stone, ivy, and iron, tucked into the Michigan pines with manicured Italian gardens that honestly make my heart skip a beat. As a wedding florist based in Holland, MI, I love designing for a space with this much history. The gardens already do so much of the talking, so I lean into florals that feel like they grew right out of the parterre: garden roses, trailing greenery, and soft, romantic textures that spill over urns and line the garden paths. This is one of those hidden gems, and I'm completely biased because it's where we got married!! Set on a grassy bluff with a white gazebo overlooking Lake Michigan. It's peaceful, sacred, and feels like something out of a storybook. I design here with movement and restraint in mind: wispy grasses, soft florals that flutter in the breeze, and pieces that frame the view without competing with it. Everything stays low and grounded, so the water, the wind, and your vows can take center stage.
